Do I need an account to find a blood drive or donor center?
No. Anyone can search for blood drives and donor centers using their ZIP code without creating an account.
Do I need an account to schedule an appointment online?
No. You can schedule an appointment as a guest, but we recommend creating an account to earn points and keep track of your donations.
Why do I need to use the same information I am registered under?
When creating your account, use the same name, email address, and phone number associated with your donor record. This allows our system to locate your information and link your Donor Portal account correctly.
I created an account, but I can't see my donation history. What should I do?
First, verify that you used the same information that is associated with your donor record. If your donation history is still missing, please contact Marketing at marketing@donateblood.org for assistance.
How do I earn rewards points?
Points can be earned by:
- Creating a Donor Portal account
- Signing up for email communications
- Signing up for text communications
- Donating blood, platelets, plasma, or double red cells
- Participating in special bonus point promotions throughout the year
How many points do I earn for donating?
- Whole Blood Donation: 100 points
- Platelet Donation: 200 points
- Plasma Donation: 200 points
- Double Red Cell Donation: 200 points
When will my donation points appear in my account?
Points are typically added after your donation has been processed. Please allow two business days for points to appear in your account.
How will I know when bonus points are available?
The best way to stay informed is to sign up for text messages and email communications. We will announce special promotions throughout the year.
Where can I see my points balance?
Your current points balance can be viewed by logging into the Donor Portal.
How do I access the Donor Rewards Store?
Simply log into the Donor Portal and click on the Online Store section to browse available items and redeem points.
What kinds of rewards are available?
The Rewards Store features a variety of items, including exclusive CCBC merchandise and other donor rewards. Available items may change throughout the year.
How many points do I need to redeem rewards?
Reward items range from approximately 150 points to 3,000 points, depending on the item.
How do I redeem my points?
Select the item you would like in the Online Store and follow the redemption instructions. The required points will automatically be deducted from your account.
Can I save my points for a larger reward?
Yes. Points can be accumulated and redeemed when you have enough points for the reward you want.
How long will it take to receive my reward?
Most rewards are shipped directly to your home and typically arrive within 2–4 weeks.
Do I have to pay for shipping?
No. Rewards are shipped directly to the address provided during redemption.
What if an item is out of stock?
Rewards are available while supplies last. If an item is unavailable, donors can save their points or choose another available reward.
Can I transfer my points to another donor?
Yes! You can give your points to another donor. Please reach out to marketing@donateblood.org to do so.
Do my points expire?
Yes, points expire after 36 months (3 years).
