Naval Air Station Lemoore and Central California Blood Center, Partners in Saving Lives

The Central California Blood Center has enjoyed a decades-long partnership with Naval Air Station (NAS) Lemoore. In times of peace and conflict Sailors and Marines have generously rolled up their sleeves to help their community though blood donation. Currently five divisions participate in a total of 15 blood drives at NAS Lemoore each year; the FRC West Blood Drive, the CNATTU Blood Drive, the NEX Blood Drive, the Weapons Department Blood Drive, and the Naval Hospital Blood Drive. New Custom Bloodmobile Thanks to a Generous Donation by the Carl and Lulu Mitchell Family Foundation

Thanks to a generous donation by the Carl and Lulu Mitchell Family Foundation, the Central California Blood Center sent a brand-new bloodmobile to its inaugural blood drive in July of 2105. As former employees of a large Fresno hospital, Carl and Lulu both come from healthcare backgrounds, and wanted an opportunity to give back to the Valley in a way that would promote good medical experience for all. A special blood drive was scheduled June 10th and 11th at the three Central California Blood Center locations in Fresno.
