Complete its Life-Saving Mission
A few
years ago, 3,000-4,000 pints of blood monthly would have served this Central Valley region
well. Now the required monthly
inventory has increased to almost 6,000 pints. The Central California
Blood Center
(CCBC)
is the sole provider of blood and blood products for the 31 hospitals in Fresno, Madera, Tulare, Mariposa and Kings Counties.
With the need continuing to grow - we, at CCBC, are committed to
doing what it takes to meet those requirements both locally, and
nationally, as warranted. The Blood
Center
has donation sites in Northwest Fresno, Central
Fresno, North Fresno, Visalia and
Porterville
for greater donor convenience. In addition, we have three bloodmobiles
and two mini-bloodmobiles. However, more are needed.
